Aztec LowRider Propane Burnishers: 21, 24, or 27 Inches?

Aztec LowRider propane burnishers are high-speed machines for maintaining a glossy finish on compatible VCT, polished concrete and terrazzo floors. CleanGearHQ currently lists 21-, 24- and 27-inch models in standard and dust-control configurations. Choose by the space you need to cover, aisle clearance, dust-control needs and the rules at your delivery location.

Compare the three cleaning widths

Pad size Listed productivity Pad speed Standard model Dust-control model
21 inches Up to 27,000 sq. ft./hr. 2,092 RPM LowRider 21 LowRider 21 with dust control
24 inches Up to 30,000 sq. ft./hr. 1,850 RPM LowRider 24 LowRider 24 with dust control
27 inches Up to 33,000 sq. ft./hr. 1,700 RPM LowRider 27 LowRider 27 with dust control

These are listed maximum productivity figures, not a promise of actual hourly coverage. Work speed depends on floor condition, layout, turns, interruptions and operating technique. All six listings specify an 18 HP, 603cc Kawasaki propane engine and a low 4-inch machine profile. Check each product page for its dimensions and included configuration.

Which size fits your facility?

  • 21 inches: Choose this narrower path when maneuvering around tighter aisles, fixtures and storage areas matters more than maximum listed coverage.
  • 24 inches: A middle option for facilities that want a wider pass while retaining more maneuverability than the 27-inch machine.
  • 27 inches: The widest listed path for larger open areas. Check doorways, lifts, transport access and storage before selecting it.

Standard or dust control?

The standard LR listings do not include the dust-control system. The LRD listings add an airtight floating dust skirt and collection system to help contain burnishing particulates. If dust management is part of your maintenance plan, select the dust-control model explicitly; do not assume it is installed on a standard machine.

California and operating requirements

CleanGearHQ cannot sell or deliver these propane-powered Aztec machines in California. This is the restriction communicated by our supplier and reflected on the current product listings. California customers can consider the 21-inch LowRider Sapphire battery burnisher or the 27-inch LowRider Sapphire battery burnisher. Both listings include dust control; the 21-inch model lists up to 24,000 sq. ft./hr. and approximately one hour per charge, while the 27-inch lists up to 34,000 sq. ft./hr. and approximately 1.5 hours per charge. Read the battery burnisher comparison for more detail.

Propane equipment requires trained operators and properly ventilated areas. Follow Aztec's current owner’s manual for fuel-cylinder type, ventilation, setup, operation, transport and storage. Check site requirements before ordering; a dust-control skirt does not replace ventilation or exhaust precautions.

Before ordering

  • Confirm the floor finish and burnishing pad are compatible with the machine and maintenance program.
  • Measure doorways, aisles and storage space against the selected model’s dimensions.
  • Choose standard or dust-control configuration deliberately.
  • Confirm the delivery state and supplier availability. Freight services such as liftgate or limited-access delivery may add charges.
